The Minoan Jumper
Sartorial Note
A stunning Jacquard weave on fine 100% Italian wool. The Minoan pattern is inspired by the Marine Style pottery of Bronze Age Crete, where, more than 3,500 years ago, Minoan artisans painted sea creatures sprawling freely across entire vessels, their tentacles and fins curling through waves and seaweed. This pattern was designed in-house as a tribute to that sea-faring civilisation and its love of movement, colour and the living ocean. Rather than being printed, the design is woven directly into the fabric as a jacquard, so every tentacle and wave is part of the cloth itself, with a depth and texture that only weaving can achieve. Handmade in London and released in very limited quantities.
*Please note - the pattern placement falls a little differently on every piece, which makes yours entirely one of a kind.
